The Skippack Township Board of Supervisors has formally recognized the life, service, and lasting impact of longtime resident and public servant Sharon L. Cullen, who passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025. In a heartfelt proclamation presented at the September 10 township meeting, the Board unanimously declared October 3—Sharon’s birthday—as “Sharon Cullen Day” in Skippack Township.

Sharon Cullen dedicated her life to public service across Montgomery County, holding key positions in the District Attorney’s Office, the County Commissioners’ Office, and most recently as the Director of Parking Facilities and Fleet Management. Known for her strong leadership, unwavering commitment, and heartfelt compassion, Sharon was especially admired for her steadfast support of local first responders.

Together with her husband, Sean Cullen, Sharon co-founded the Montgomery County Hero Fund, a charity that provides crucial support to first responders and their families in times of crisis. Her efforts helped build a safety net for those who serve, ensuring that heroes and their loved ones are not left behind during moments of tragedy.

"Sharon’s life of service, kindness, and generosity has left a lasting and indelible mark on Skippack Township and Montgomery County," the proclamation reads. “Her love of family, friends, coworkers—and even her cherished pets—was the foundation of her life.”

By establishing “Sharon Cullen Day” as an annual observance, the township ensures that her extraordinary contributions and spirit of service will continue to inspire future generations.

The official proclamation was duly presented and adopted on September 10, 2025, and will be permanently recorded in the township’s records.
