"We learned today of additional and very disturbing charges filed yesterday by the Montgomery County District Attorney against Nick Fountain. The actions alleged in those charges have no place in our community, in Montgomery County or anywhere else, and we vehemently condemn such behavior. Our thoughts are with anyone impacted by these allegations.
We called for Mr. Fountain to resign from the Board of Supervisors and recently received his letter of resignation. We will act upon the letter at our next Public Meeting this Wednesday, October 8.
We will cooperate with law enforcement’s investigation in any way possible. Out of respect for the legal process, we will have no further comment."
