Skippack Township invites residents and visitors to join in a day of patriotic celebration as we commemorate Independence Day and America’s 250th Birthday with a series of family-friendly events throughout the community on Friday, July 4.

The festivities begin at 11:00 a.m. with the beloved Skippack Village Parade, bringing together community groups, local organizations, and neighbors for a festive march through the heart of the Village.

At 1:00 p.m., take part in a cherished American tradition with a Reading of the Declaration of Independence, presented by the Skippack Historical Society and the Skippack Playcrafters. The program will be held at 1285 Evansburg Road, at the corner of Evansburg and Skippack Roads, offering attendees an opportunity to reflect on the words that shaped our nation’s history.

As the day winds down, gather with family and friends at Palmer Park for an evening celebration featuring live music, food trucks, and fireworks at dusk. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy a spectacular fireworks display as we honor our nation’s past and celebrate its future.

Whether you’re continuing a family tradition or creating new memories, Skippack Township’s Fourth of July celebration offers something for everyone. We look forward to celebrating with you as our community comes together for this special day of patriotism, history, and hometown pride.
