Skippack Township is pleased to welcome Bob Rau as our newly appointed Township Supervisor! Bob was officially appointed and sworn in on October 29, and last night he was introduced to the community at his first official Township meeting. We’re excited to have him join the Board and bring his extensive experience and community spirit to Skippack.
A Skippack resident for over 10 years, Bob joins us with a strong background in local government. He previously served Towamencin Township as a Township Supervisor for six years and Chairman of the Board for four years, offering knowledgeable and dedicated leadership to his community.
In addition to his municipal service, Bob has a long history of volunteer involvement. He spent 10 years with the Glenside Fire Company before joining the Towamencin Fire Company, where he held several leadership roles including 1st Assistant Chief, Treasurer, and President. His commitment to public service and community engagement is truly commendable.
When he’s not serving the community, Bob enjoys visiting his daughter in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and his son in Tahoe, California.
Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Bob Rau as he begins his service to Skippack Township. We look forward to the leadership, experience, and enthusiasm he brings to our community!
