Skippack Township is pleased to announce that it has been awarded $2,072,280 through Pennsylvania’s Multimodal Transportation Fund (MTF) to improve the intersection of Routes 73 and 113.

This significant investment will support improvements at one of Skippack Township’s key transportation intersections, helping to enhance safety, mobility, and the overall transportation network for residents, businesses, and visitors.

The Multimodal Transportation Fund provides financial assistance for transportation projects that improve connections and mobility throughout Pennsylvania. The 2026 funding round awarded approximately $54 million to 50 highway, bridge, aviation, port, bicycle, and pedestrian projects across 27 counties.

The Township’s successful grant award is the result of the hard work and dedication of Skippack Township staff members and the professional staff of Traffic Planning & Design, Inc. and Woodrow & Associates, Inc., who developed and advanced the grant application and helped bring this important funding opportunity to fruition. Their efforts and commitment to securing outside funding for projects will benefit the Skippack community.

The more than $2 million award represents a major investment in Skippack Township’s infrastructure and provides an opportunity to make meaningful improvements to the Routes 73 and 113 intersection. This award represents a tremendous investment in our community and will allow us to move forward with improvements that will enhance safety and mobility at this important intersection.
